Account settings

Your account settings cover your personal information, how you sign in, and how Tensor Cloud displays information to you. Open them from Settings in the avatar menu.

Personal information

Profile picture

Upload a profile picture so other users can recognize you. It is visible to members of the workspaces you belong to, and not to anyone else. Tensor Cloud crops the uploaded picture automatically, choosing the best area for a profile picture. If you do not upload one, Tensor Cloud generates a picture for you.

info

A profile picture must be at least 300x300 pixels. Supported file types are JPEG, PNG, and WebP, up to 10MB.

Name

Your first and last name may appear across Tensor Cloud where you contribute or are mentioned. You can change the name you entered at registration at any time.

Email address

To change your email address, click it, enter your new address in the dialog, and select Send verification code. Enter the code sent to your new address and select Change email address. The change applies to every workspace you belong to. You cannot use an address that another Tensor Cloud user already has.

Account deletion

Tensor Cloud does not yet delete accounts automatically. The Delete your account button opens the support form, where you can ask us to delete your account for you.

Security

Passkeys

A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN instead of an emailed magic link. You can also use a hardware security key such as a YubiKey. Passkeys are added alongside magic links: signing in with a magic link by email always remains available, so you are never locked out if a passkey is unavailable.

Managing passkeys

To register a passkey, go to Settings → Security and select Add passkey. Your browser or device asks you to authenticate with your fingerprint, face, PIN, or security key, and then saves the passkey. Each passkey is listed with its Name and the date it was Created. Use the pencil icon to rename a passkey (up to 40 characters) and the trash icon to remove it. If your browser does not support passkeys, the page shows a notice in place of the Add passkey button.

You can register more than one passkey, for example one for your laptop, one for your phone, and a hardware security key as a backup.

If you sign in with a magic link on a device that supports passkeys and you have not registered one yet, Tensor Cloud offers to set one up right after you sign in. Select Set up passkey to register it, Not now to skip, or Don’t ask again to stop the prompt.

Signing in with a passkey

On a device where you have registered a passkey, the login screen offers Continue with passkey. You can also choose Sign in with a passkey after entering your email. Authenticate with your fingerprint, face, PIN, or security key, and you are signed in without waiting for an email.

If no passkey is available, or you are signing in on a new device, use the magic link sent to your email as usual.

Preferences

note

The Preferences page is only available while you are a member of at least one workspace.

Language

Choose the language of the Tensor Cloud interface and of your email notifications: Japanese or English.

Theme

Choose how Tensor Cloud looks: System, Light, or Dark. System follows your device settings. The theme is saved in the browser you are using, not in your account.

Character encoding

Choose the character encoding of CSV and Excel files you download from Tensor Cloud: UTF-8 with BOM, UTF-8 without BOM, or Shift-JIS. If you open CSV files in Excel, we recommend UTF-8 with BOM.

Currency display unit

Choose the unit for yen amounts in the simulation results shown in the asset view: Auto (by amount), Yen (JPY), Thousand yen (JPY'000), or Million yen (JPY'000,000). The default, Auto (by amount), picks the unit for each value based on its size.
